Cheryl the Montana girls favorite Italian Sausage and Spinach Soup.

Italian Sausage and Spinach Soup

1# Mild or Hot Italian Sausage, brat style or bulk, if brats, cook whole and then slice thin and brown the slices.

1 large white onion chopped and then sautéed in same pan as sausage was cooked in.

While sausage is cooking put the following in a soup pot and bring to gentle boil, then simmer:

1- 49 oz. can chicken broth

1- 15 oz. can slice carrots, drained

1- 4 oz. can slice mushrooms, drained

1- tsp. Oregano

Add cooked sausage and onion to soup pot, bring to boil and then lastly add:

2- cups fresh Spinach, coarsely chopped. Bring to boil, shut off, and eat :-)

I have made this with all fresh stuff, with all frozen stuff, and it is good just about any way it’s made.


This Surgical Stainless Steel Stock Pot would be great for making this Italian Sausage and Spinach Soup. It is also Great for roasts chickens or stews.
